Yes, they do work! The board and train program sets you up with the tools for success by teaching your dog reward systems and boundaries, and the commands in their lesson plans. We lay the foundation for what your expectations are going to be, and then it will be up to you to keep those expectations; but don't worry, we give unlimited lessons to make sure every owner is confident and prepared for training when the board and train is completed. Board and train programs give you an awesome head start and through my experience, there has yet to be a dog I couldn't help!

I grew up training our family bird hunting dogs how to track on our land. I gained a ton of experience with different types of working dogs as well as many pet and rescue dogs growing up. Every one in my family had some sort of dog, and they each had their own issues or jobs to do. It fascinated me how I was able to approach aggressive dogs when most others couldn't. It also frustrated me when dogs wouldn't allow anyone near them and I wanted to know why and how they got that way. Animal behavior and psychology always caught my interest. I got my first German Shepherd at 18 and started getting interested in training agility and advanced obedience as a hobby. Fast forward to September 2020 where circumstances landed me the opportunity to start training working dogs again when my roommate had a Belgian Malinois they had no idea what to do with. He tested every bit of patience and creativity I had trying to wear him out and train him. From then on I fell in love with training dogs and dedicated a year of my life to studying and practicing the best methods of training dogs in the world today. I even got the opportunity to learn from trainers at one of the countries top rated dog training facilities. While working there as a dog trainer I met some of the countries top dog trainers and was able to work with them closely on how to address certain issues, as well as how to become a better trainer and how to appreciate animals more! I ultimately decided I was ready to fulfill my dreams and formed my own dog training company. During my time there I was able to attend seminars for scent detection, decoy camps, and even participated in training police dogs on occasion  with the director of the police program. From there I started training my own narcotics detection and apprehension dog as well as having attended several police handlers courses as a decoy and helper. We only board 3 dogs at a time to ensure all dogs get the proper attention and care they need while they are boarding or training with Green-Line K9. Your dog will be treated like one of our own and will spend minimal time in a kennel, unless it is necessary or requested. All of the dogs here at Green-Line K9 spend a majority of the day outside of the kennels playing, training and running around in our large grassy field; as we live on 366 acres of private land with 20 acres of manicure lawn so there is plenty of room for playing and training. We also go on day trips to the lake that's just minutes from us, hiking on trails, and to several different stores for some extra training and fun! Everywhere we go, your dog will go too. Our job is to make sure that training will be as close to your home life as possible to make the transition from boarding and back into the home a walk in the park!
